Dear Customer:
Thank you for purchasing our company's printing equipment. In order to make your printing equipment more stable and print with better quality, please cooperate with us to maintain the equipment.

  • A. Daily maintenance and upkeep

    1. Pay attention to a good usage environment.
① Avoid mechanical collisions and vibration. (It affects the life of the fuselage and precision print head.)
② Keep the environment clean. (Avoid dust clogging the print head.)
③ It is advisable to keep the ambient temperature constant at 22℃-28℃. (Temperature that is too high or too low will affect the deformation or corrosion of mechanical parts and the print head, thus affecting the printing quality.)
④ The ink provided by the manufacturer must be used. (Guarantee the service life of the print head and high-quality image quality.)

    2. Clean the dust and ink on the surface of the equipment body every day.

    3. Clean and oil the track. (Car engine oil or sewing machine oil, preferably if there is oil on the surface and it will not fall off, once every half month.)

    4. Clean the grating strip. (Wipe with a lint-free cloth moistened with alcohol , once every half month.)

    5. Keep the platform and the bottom of the trolley clean and free of foreign matter every week.

    6. Clean the excess ink on the scraper blade and ink pad promptly every day.

    7. Clean the waste ink barrel in time.

    8. Print the print head status diagram every day and clean the nozzle until the nozzle status diagram is complete.

    9. Observe the ink usage in the main ink barrel or box every day and add ink in time.

  • B:Long-holiday maintenance and upkeep

    1. (more than 5-7 days) Preparation: one bottle of special cleaning fluid, one bottle of alcohol, one bottle of moisturizing fluid, one roll of plastic wrap, one syringe, one towel, ten cotton swabs, ten dust-free cloths, and a 10cm ink tube (the print head can be connected).

    2. Pour the ink from the main ink barrel or box into the ink bottle and seal it.

    3. Empty and clean the ink system until the ink tubes and ink sacs turn white and there is no remaining and attaching ink. [First remove the outer casing of the printing car, then turn it on and connect the computer network.
① Use the software to click the ink fill option or use the control panel to select ink filling. (Ink Fill), and then stop filling the ink until the ink is empty.
②Then inject cleaning fluid into the ink barrel and cartridge that have been cleaned with cleaning fluid, and click to refill the ink until the ink tube turns white and transparent to stop the ink refilling option.
③Pour out the excess cleaning fluid from the ink barrel or box and refill the ink until the cleaning fluid in the pipe and ink bag is removed, then stop filling. Shut down the machine.

    4. Use plastic wrap to seal and wrap both ends of the ink outlet and inlet of the ink system.

    5. Use cleaning fluid to clean the remaining ink in the print head, and then drain it. The methods are as below:
① First use a cotton swab to wet the cleaning fluid to clean the ink scale on the surface of the print head and each channel.
② Use a clean syringe to draw a little clean cleaning fluid, and then use an ink pipe (which can be connected to the print head) to connect the print head and the syringe.
③ Use a syringe to slowly inject the cleaning fluid into the print head (be careful not to use too much force, and do not use too much cleaning fluid; just push the syringe gently until the cleaning fluid flows out).
④Inject 2 ml of cleaning fluid (see the scale on the surface of the syringe), and then withdraw it and discharge the cleaning fluid in the syringe.
⑤Follow the above methods (①-④) and inject cleaning fluid into each channel of the print head.
⑥Use a syringe to inhale air to drain the residual cleaning fluid in each channel (the attention and strength should not be too great) and wipe off the residual cleaning fluid on the surface of the print head with a cotton swab. Note: There are still certain risks in the process of handling the print head, and customers should be cautious when operating.

    6. Inject moisturizing liquid into each channel of the print head.

    7. Remove foreign matter and excess ink stains from the print car's bottom plate.

    8. Clean the printing platform, silicone spatula, and ink stack.

    9. Place 2-3 pieces of non-woven fabric on the top and bottom of the print head, wrap the printing car frame tightly with plastic wrap, and seal it.

    10. Clean the grating strip.

    11. Clean the dust and ink on the rack and surface.

    12. Unplug the power supply and cover the whole device with inkjet cloth or packaging film or cloth. Note: If the machine has been idle for more than one month, follow the same steps as above, but only change step 9 and remove the print head for maintenance. (Before removing the print head, label the data cable of the print head to distinguish the top and bottom positions.) Remove the fixing screws and keep them well.

  • C.Maintenance when idle for a short period of time (3-5days)

    1. Clean the print head status, clean the silicone scraper and ink stack, and close level 1 ink box valves.

    2. Spread plastic wrap on the ink stack, place cleaning fluid on the plastic wrap, and seal the print head and the ink stack tightly.

  • D.Maintenance when idle just maintain it as usual(1-3days).

Note: The above is for the maintenance of outdoor models. If it is an indoor model, please replace the above areas that require cleaning fluid with indoor cleaning fluid or pure water; there are still certain risks in the process of treating the print head, and the print head itself is not covered by the warranty. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact us in time.

UV printer machine usage and maintenance

Since the UV printer machine is a large output device with relatively high price and maintenance costs. Therefore, special attention needs to be paid to the correct use and maintenance.

The following are some basic maintenance and upkeep methods for UV printer machines summarized by our company for your reference, so as to help your UV printer machine stay in normal operating condition for a long time and reduce maintenance and repair costs.

  • A. Have a good usage environment

    1. The UV machine has a precision printhead, so when placing and using it daily, you must avoid the printhead from scratching the printing material, as well as avoid severe mechanical collision and vibration on the machine.

    2. Since the size of the printhead holes is equivalent to the size of dust floating in the air, it is easy to be clogged by dust. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the environment clean and dust-free to prevent dust in the air from clogging the printhead.

    3. The temperature of the printer's working environment should not be too high. It should be kept between 18-28 degrees Celsius to avoid ink breakage caused by too high temperatures and corrosion of the mechanical parts and printhead of the printer. The temperature change should not be too large because the UV machine It contains a large number of engineering plastic parts, and the printhead aperture is very thin. If the ambient temperature changes too fast, the thermal expansion of the components will cause wear and tear on the mechanical parts, and changes in the printhead aperture size will also affect the printing quality.

  • B. Selection of UV ink

    1. The quality of UV ink determines the quality of the printed image and the service life of the printhead. Printer inks are divided into original inks (inks provided or specified by the printhead manufacturer) and compatible inks (inks provided by the equipment factory). They are all inks that have been tested by the factory for a long time and can meet the printing needs and ensure the service life of the printhead.

    2. Each ink has an ink waveform that matches it. The waveform plays a key role in the printing effect of the printhead, so it is recommended to use the ink provided by the manufacturer. Choosing other inks may affect the printing effect.

    3. Shake the ink in the ink barrel before turning on the machine every day. Because the ink is composed of pigment and liquid medium, it will delaminate if left for a long time, affecting the printing quality.

  • C. Maintenance of printhead

    1. To choose a high-quality filter (disc type and capsule type), it must meet the manufacturer's requirements; take the GEN5 printhead as an example: the disc filter is generally 10μ; the capsule filter is generally 15μ~20μ It is appropriate. Choosing a filter that is too large will cause the printhead to become clogged, which will affect the printing quality, and in severe cases, the printhead will be scrapped.

    2. Generally speaking, the service life of the filter of the UV machine is three months. If it is used for too long, due to internal blockage, the ink will not flow smoothly enough, which will cause the ink to break when printing, and in serious cases, it will block the printhead.

    3. It is generally not recommended to use a syringe to clean GEN5 printheads. The printhead itself has a pressure resistance of only 30 kPa, so syringe cleaning can easily cause the printhead to be scrapped. Remember!

    4. After the UV machine has been working for a period of time (usually about 3 days, depending on the print volume), you need to use a clean dust-free cloth or a special cotton swab for inkjet printing dipped in UV cleaning fluid to wipe the printhead surface to remove the solidification on the printhead surface. Try to wipe the object from the middle to both sides. When wiping the printhead, wipe it gently to prevent scratching the water film at the bottom of the printhead, causing the ink at the bottom of the printhead to not disperse to both sides, causing the printhead holes to be blocked by ink and affecting the printing effect.

    5. The printhead must be printed every day. When there is no business, four-color color blocks can be printed to ensure that each printhead has ink and prevent the printhead from being clogged.

    6. During the holidays, the printhead must be moisturized. Place an ink tank on the platform and put 3-5 layers of dust-free cloth in it. Pour UV cleaning fluid on it (the cleaning fluid must soak the dust-free cloth), and then fix the trolley to ensure it is dust-free. Seal all printheads with cloth.

    7. For flatbed printing 3 boards, the surface of the printhead must be wiped clean with cleaning fluid (when printing acrylic, glass and other highly reflective materials, it is best to wipe the printhead after printing the first version to prevent the ink on the surface of the printhead from solidifying and clogging the printhead holes. ).

  • D. Mechanical maintenance

    1. The guide rails should be oiled (guide rail oil) every half month to make the car move smoother, reduce guide rail wear, and increase the service life of the slider. (Before oiling, wipe off the dust on the surface of the guide rails. Make sure there is oil on the surface of the guide rails. It’s better if it doesn’t fall down)

    2. Grating. Wipe the grating regularly (once every two months). You can use a dust-free cloth with clean water. Do not use high-concentration alcohol. If alcohol is used, please use medical alcohol with an alcohol content of less than 25%. When wiping the grating, avoid scratches by nails and other hard objects. grating.

    3. Clean the filter of the blower every half month to prevent dust from blocking the air duct and insufficient air suction volume.

    4. The water in the UV water tank should be replaced every three months (antifreeze and purified water are blended at a ratio of 1:5). Clean the filters on both sides of the water tank once a week

    5. Clean the waste ink tank regularly and keep the area around the origin clean.

    6. Clean the dust on the board regularly to prevent excessive dust from causing discharge between circuits and damaging the board and printhead.

    7. Clean the ink blocks and dirt on the tablet in time.

    8. Clean the dirt and ink on the bottom of the trolley in time. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact us in time.
